The English Point Marina luxury hotel has been accused of using the Coronavirus pandemic to underpay and oppress their staff, nyakundireport.com has learnt.

English Point Marina is a world-class hotel owned by two Mombasa born brothers Alnoor and Amyn. It sits across the stunning old Mombasa skyline in a natural marine basin with a breakwater coral shelf

Early this year, the hotel sacked all their staff, which was understandable, then.

Some staff were later told to report back to work in August and forced to sign contracts that stipulated that they would now be paid Ksh. 450 per day, half of what they had been receiving.

To pin the workers down further, the hotel now requires that the staff work for 16 hours a day.

But screenshots of sales that this site has seen confirm that the hotel is making sales.
