Newsroom Updated 1 min read
The wife of a terrorist implicated in last Tuesday’s attack on dusitD2 hotel has been arrested. Violet Kemunto Omwoyo was arrested on Friday morning in Makueni county. She is expected to appear in court. Kemunto had lived with her husband, Ali Salim Gichunge – whom the police believe coordinated the attack – in house number E9 in Guango, since March 21, last year. Kemunto, through a pseudo name on Facebook had put up a post offering to sell household property, saying the couple was moving out of Nairobi. Five suspects have already been arraigned in court over the attack. They are; Joel Nganga, Oliver Muthee, Gladys Kaari, Guleid Abdihakim and Osman Ibrahim. The state applied to have the suspects detained for 30 days to enable detectives to conclude the investigations.
