DCI Arrests Fake NEMA Officials Extorting Money From Clueless Kenyans

On Thursday, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) revealed that it has nabbed an extortion ring masquerading as National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) officials in Lunga Lunga township, Kwale County.
The crooks composed of a male and two females had also hired two police officers for the job.
Just how easy is it to use police for criminal activities?
The suspects are:
Two administration Police officer namely Corporal Benson Njoroge Mburu and Constable Margaret Maina of Kiamumbi and Kamiti Corner police posts respectively.
Mr. Duncan Njogu Mukono ~Driver
Ms. Grace Wambui Ndungu &
Ms. Purity Mumbi Njagi.
One suspect escaped and is being sought by Detectives.
The FIVE suspects had already received money from more than THREE complainants including Ksh.25,000 sent to Duncan Njogu’s Mobile phone.
The Kwale NEMA County Officers confirmed that the suspects were not their officers.
A car, Nissan Tiida was also confiscated.
