Daystar University Student Exposed For Conning Unsuspecting Kenyans On Facebook
Newsroom Updated 1 min read
In yet another case of online con-artistry, a Facebook user by the name Waleghwa Alice who is believed to be a Daystar University student has been accused of defrauding unsuspecting users.
Alice uses a simple lie that both her parents are dead and she stays with her evil aunt who mistreats her and goes on to say that she urgently needs some money to seek medical attention.
Sympathetic Kenyans often fall for her tricks and end up sending her lots of cash. Caption: Daystar University Student Alice Walwghwa. The girl was exposed by a Facebook user who realized she was sending the same message she sent to him to his other friends as well.
Cases of online fraud have been on the rise in Kenya thanks to the huge unemployment problem that the Jubilee government has been unable to solve despite promising to do so in 2013. As Uhuru's final term comes to an end, the highest unemployment rate in the history of the country will be one of the things that go down in his ten year legacy.
