David Ndii Reveals Uhuru Kenyatta's Whereabouts
Newsroom Updated 1 min read
For the last few days, Kenya's President Uhuru Kenyatta has been suspiciously away from the public eye since his silent return from China where he and ODM Leader Raila Odinga had gone to seek the signing of a deal which would see the extension of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) to Kisumu.
Uhuru's sudden disappearance has left many Kenyans wondering whether he is even in the country with the recent deletion of all his social media accounts fueling the rumours even more.
Many have argued that the President is a symbol of statehood whose whereabouts must be made clear by his office.
His absence at last week's Labour Day celebrations at Uhuru Park didn't go down very well with a majority of workers who claim he has been hiding from responsibilities.
On Friday afternoon, renowned economist Dr. David Ndii tweeted that last he heard, President Uhuru Kenyatta was at Sagana State Lodge “licking his wounds and drowning his sorrows in bucketloads of single malts”.
