David Ndii Hits At Kenyan Farmers, Tells Them They Don't Owe The Nation Food
Newsroom Updated 1 min read
Renowned economist David Ndii has hit out at Kenyan farmers in regards to the food security question.
In response to a Kenyan who suggested that the ministry of agriculture should champion for a farmer driven agenda, Ndii said that farmers need to understand they produce for the market and not the government and should, therefore, focus on gaining market power and not government power.
Ndii also added that as consumers, we don't owe farmers a living and if someone was rich enough to subsidize food, then it's well and good.
