DAC Aviation financial woes persist

In February 2020, we highlighted about the non-payment of staff salaries by DAC Aviation.

It is December 2020, and the company seems to be facing the same issues.

Mark you, this cannot be blamed on Covid-19 pandemic as by February, there was no such thing in Kenya.

Here is how a staff member wrote to me on December 9th, 2020.

Hi Cyprian.

I am coming to you to cry cry about DAC aviation not paying us.

Mr Emmanuel Anassis decided to only pay the people who are going out station part of their salary and most of us in Nairobi he has not paid.

Our last salary was for January 2020.

Then the worst happened, he sent people on unpaid leave in November and the letters were backdated to October. Post holders resigned, now DAC does not have a CEO, MD and director of quality.

Post holders like Director of Maintenance also resigned and Mr Emmanuel Anassis promoted Wilson Otieno to DOM who is not qualified for the post.

Mr Emmanuel Anassis is now suing the post holders because they left DAC Aviation and started working for the competition.

I don't know if it's wrong to resign from a company that has not been paying. Tax Evasion & sex scandal Peter Muga who was just an accountant has now been promoted to GM because he has been advising Emmanuel Anassis on how to evade paying taxes.

Our taxes for this year have not been paid neither is our medicals. The current crew manager madam Natalie Jerry who is Emmanuel Anassis girlfriend works has been working for DAC Aviation (EA) without a work permit which we all know it's illegal but the government has done nothing.

Kindly advice if it is possible for justice to be done as we have really suffered at DAC Aviation under the eyes of KCAA and nothing is being done.
