Makilap’s fury was sparked by Murkomen’s scolding of Baringo North residents during a peace meeting at Kampi Samaki, where the CS accused locals of engaging in outdated banditry.

He added that Murkomen’s failure to deploy serious security measures—like disarming criminal gangs and increasing patrols in dangerous zones—has left Baringo residents exposed to endless fear and violence.
By shifting blame onto victims, Makilap warned, Murkomen is not only dodging responsibility but also eroding what little trust remains between the government and its people.
