Corruption: Midnight Interviews For Jobs In Kitui West Sub-County

Kitui West Sub-county interviews for Content Supervisors was flawed.

The interview which was supposed to start at 8.30 Am delayed till 12.30 pm.

The panelists were deliberately very slow expected to interview more than 250 youths before the close of business that day.

Chaos rose from the youths at around 8.00 Pm when "well connected sons and daughters of the rich" who were not even shortlisted attended the interview at night.

The interviews went on the whole night with the last person being interviewed at 6.00 am today.

Vulnerable youths from Kitui West Sub-County spent the night at the offices with some sleeping on the floor and ladies from remote areas were stranded due to lack of transport in at midnight.

Some of the youths were victimized after questioning the malicious acts of the Deputy County Commissioner in the subcounty.
