Corruption And Nepotism In Mandera County Exposed

Good afternoon Le Presidente,

On behalf of my fellow youth from Mandera County I would like to present what we are passing through to secure employment in Mandera where only slay queens and people with god fathers are considered.

However, before that, I would like to assure you that as real Manderians (those born in Kenya) we are really happy with your activism on tax evasion by some quarters. To begin with, Mandera County is a hotbed of corruption.

All positions have been shared between the governor, county secretary, bunch of MCA's, 17 chief officers and C.E.Cs.

The interview process was a sham and all those who are appointed lack basic qualifications.

I would like to give an example county secretary who was formerly a clerical officer with post bank.

The county chief officer for Energy and Natural Resources is a nurse aid with only a certificate in nursing from Kabarnet Medical Training College.

Mandera County needs a thorough audit of it's employees. Even most the junior positions are occupied by people with fake certificates.

Personally I hold Bachelor of Commerce with CPA- 6 and I have been abandoned in the current recruitment and my position given to cronies of the governor.

Yes even MANDAWASCO Fund manager Mr. Mohamed Amin has never studied accounting. Besides that, he lacks the constitutional requirment of 10 years experience in public services. Our governor is incompetent himself.

He is being protected by William Ruto.

They are looting the county left, right and centre together. Our governor is untouchable. He is a member of the TANGA TANGA squad.

To make the matter worse, he is escaping accountability in the name of terror attack. There was a time finance office was exploded to scare away national auditors from doing their work. This a diversionary tactic to escape accountability.

We want a senior audit of all positions to be done so as to ascertain how many people are genuine employees. To make the matters even more worse, all the positions have been shared among relatives of the governor. Of course we will be moving to court to challenge this employment.

In my next article I will share how the governor, Chief Officer Finance, some MCAs and County Secretary are bringing the county to its knees. I will show you how they are looting.
