Presidents Uhuru Kenyatta and his French counterpart were due to visit the Nairobi Railways Station.

Commuters expressed their anger stating that they should've been notified about the event before. CLEARED FOR THE PRESIDENT: Deserted Railways Matatu Terminus

A man on a walkie-talkie, who looked like a presidential guard, told commuters that the president was late by an hour, so they should expect a delay of more than 2 hours.

The train service resumed at 1800 HRS.
