Cedars Restaurant accused of mistreatment

In a case of #SlaveryInKenya, staff of Cedars Restaurant in Nairobi are complaining about long working hours.

I hope you are well.

I wish to call out a Director of Cedars Restaurant for mistreating workers.

The employees report to work at 8am and work till late hours without shifts every single day! How?

Now that the restaurants closing hours have been extended to 10pm you can imagine the torture they will be going through.

They have also been informed that they will not have their normal off days till January 2021! Ati they have rested enough since the Covid-19 crisis sprung upon us...the nerve some people have!

How can you do this to a human being? These people need mental rest, they have families they need to bond with and their bodies equally need rest!

I thought there were laws protecting employees from such!

Can they report to the LABOUR COURTS?

Why capitalize on their desperation of needing jobs to treat them in such inhumane ways?

A platform should be formed where such kind of employers mostly in the hospitality industry are named and shamed.
