This evening, football fans have learnt of the death of Burundian midfielder Papy Faty who collapsed and died during a training session at his club Malanti Chiefs FC in eSwatini.

Faty was an integral part of Burundi's national football team that qualified for their very first Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and even featured in their last qualifying game against Gabon.
