Story · BREAKING: Armed Police Invade LSK Offices

CAPTION: LSK President Nelson Havi President of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) Nelson Havi is currently facing armed police officers at his office, emerging reports have revealed.

The men in uniform are said to have invaded LSK offices along Gitanga Road on Monday, 2 August and laid a siege on the entire compound.

According to social media posts published by distinguished lawyer and former State House speechwriter Eric Ngeno, the officers were unable to explain their mission and only gave a vague explanation that they were "on assignment". "BREAKING: POLSK Nelson Havi is at this very moment facing ARMED police officers who have laid siege on the Society's Gitanga Road HQs," he wrote. They claimed to be under strict instructions to "evaluate" and "lock-up" the LSK boardroom where Mr Havi and his colleagues had convened on Monday morning. This is a developing news story, more updates to follow... Earlier this month, LSK President Nelson Havi was arrested at his office in Nairobi over assault allegations.

Havi was accused of assaulting CEO Mercy Wambua and was taken to DCI headquarters for questioning.

The LSK President allegedly injured Wambua at their Gatanga Road-based offices during a meeting on Monday.

Police claimed they had asked Havi to present himself for questioning over the claims but did not honour the same.
