BEWARE: The Rise Of Fake Mobile Apps Purporting To Offer Online Loans
Newsroom Updated 1 min read
Good evening Cyprian, big fan of your work.
It has come to my attention that Kenyans are losing their hard earned cash on fake apps and Google forms from companies pretending to be offering online loans.
They ask for money in the name of registration fee if you have to proceed for a loan application. As I write this, there are 20+ fake apps in the Google Play Store that are behind this business. My newsfeed today had about five.
Mr Cyprian I know you can reach out to authorities especially the ministry of ICT and help Kenyans who fall into the trap of con men. Sir, I know the ministry has the capacity to protect innocent Kenyans . I beg you to write to them Thank you.
Ndegwa Mugo.
