Alert Police: KWFT Loan Sharks Harassing Helpless Lady

Kenya Women Finance Trust (KWFT) bank in Trans Nzoia County is harassing an innocent lady who has been paying her loan.

KWFT's greed has meant that they are now stripping the woman of her property in a diabolic and hyena-like frenzy to make her poor.

In November 2018, a group of Kenya Women Finance Trust officials from Turbo branch stormed a home of a women group member in Likuyani and took away property in the pretext that the member had purportedly defaulted paying a loan of Kshs. 90,000 that she had borrowed to finance her children's education. By that time the lady was actually servicing the loan.

She has records of payment she had made a week earlier. (Attached at the end).

Among what the officials took was a pedigree jersey cow which was in-calf expected to calf in December same year. The cow's market value was in the region of Kshs. 70,000 or so bracket.

They also took household equipment (electronics, Computer monitor, 13kg gas cylinder complete with three burner plate among others), from the house they broke into.

Just yesterday (21.05.2019), the same group came back this time trying to sell a piece of land the family is staying on. This even as the report she filed with the provincial administration of Soy location and D.Os office Likuyani has not been acted upon.

She now lives in fear, not knowing what to do next. She can't afford a lawyer to help with her predicament.
