Alert NEMA: Lake Naivasha Resort Environmental Crime
Newsroom Updated 1 min read
Information reaching our desk reveals that Lake Naivasha Resort which is owned by Rahab Mwihaki Karoki has been dumping raw sewage into Lake Naivasha for over two weeks now.
The National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) needs to move with speed and arrest this saboteurs of our economy.
How can you build a resort that big and pricey yet cannot have a way to manage waste?.
These mediocrity shown by the likes of Lake Naivasha Resort and Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club is criminal.
This is not right at all.
While Lake Naivasha Resort is emptying effluent into the lake, other people are fishing in those waters and also using that water for domestic use, plus the wildlife also depends on it.
STOP. More on Rahab Mwihaki Karoki In 2017, the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) made a tax demand of KSh236 million following a review of her Family Signature Limited’s books of accounts.
In another scandal, a year ago, Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu bought a building at Nairobi CBD for Ksh250 million that out him in a tussle with Rahab Mwihaki Karoki.
The building whose ownership was shady became a property under Superior Phone Communications, whose directors are Rahab Mwihaki Karoki and Winnie Wambui Karoki, though fraudulent means.
