Story · Agency Exposed for Scamming Kenyans With Fake Visas

A young man, who wishes to remain anonymous, is seeking assistance after falling victim to a scam by a travel agency known as Young Consortium located at Bazaar in Nairobi. The man claims that he was scammed by an agent named Antony Kimani, who sold him a fake visa and air ticket.

Writing to this blog on Wednesday, February 15, the victim shared copies of the fake visa and flight ticket, revealing that he was not the only one who has been duped by the same conman. It is unclear how many others may have fallen victim to the scheme, but this raises concern about the prevalence of such fraudulent activities in the travel industry.

The victim is calling for action to be taken against the agency and the agent in question to prevent other unsuspecting customers from being defrauded.

We appeal to anyone with information on similar scams to come forward and help expose such fraudulent activities.

We advise our esteemed readers to exercise caution when dealing with travel agents and to verify the authenticity of any travel documents or tickets before making any payments.
