Nakuru County is set to host a Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) meeting, despite divisions among local leaders.

Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui is rallying residents to support the meeting, citing the county's strategic position and economic issues that need to be addressed.

Speaking at a previous BBI meeting in Meru, Governor Kinyanjui emphasized the need for consultations on BBI, highlighting the county's revenue sharing issues with the national government.

However, not all local leaders are on board with the meeting. Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri has expressed his opposition to the BBI process, citing a lack of clear objectives and divisiveness.

Despite these divisions, Nakuru Town West MP Samuel Arama has announced plans to hold a meeting on Thursday to finalize the agenda for the BBI meeting on Saturday.
