Kimani Mbugua, a Citizen TV presenter, has sparked heated debate with his recent video denouncing the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) church, calling it a cult.

According to Mbugua, he was born and raised in the SDA church and was deeply involved, even being ordained as an elder at the age of 16. However, he now claims that the church is a cult that brainwashes its members.

He made these remarks in a video that has gone viral on social media, in which he stated, 'I was born and raised SDA and now I know SDA is not a Church, SDA is a cult. There was a path for me and I followed it diligently. And I am not saying these things from a point of ignorance, I have read every book and I am willing to sit down with anyone with an open mind.'

Mbugua also claimed that he used to hate sex and hugging, and that he never imagined getting married. He further stated that Christians who worship on Sundays are better off than SDA worshippers who go to church on Saturdays.

The video has sparked a mix of reactions from social media users, with some defending Mbugua's right to his opinion and others criticizing him for his remarks.
