On January 30, 2020, a bomb scare sent shockwaves through Nairobi's Parklands area, prompting a thorough search of Doctors Plaza by bomb experts.
According to Nairobi Area police boss Philip Ndolo, a threatening note dropped near the building on the same day triggered the search.
The note claimed that the building would be bombed at any time, prompting swift action from the authorities.
Officers from the Anti-Terror Police Unit (ATPU) cordoned off the area, allowing only residents to enter the premises.
