Published on January 9, 2020, Luanda MP Chris Omulele has been cracking down on individuals using the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party for personal gain without being registered members.

Addressing residents of Luanda, Omulele expressed his frustration with people like Noah Okaya, Governor Wilber Otichillo's chief-of-staff, who claim to be ODM county coordinators but are not actual party members.

Omulele urged these 'political scavengers' to either register with the party or face being locked out.

'We have people in Vihiga county who are hanging on ODM to gain political mileage and yet they are not registered members. We are giving such people time to decide and register with the party or we lock them out,' said Omulele.

Omulele has opened registration at ODM Luanda offices in Ekwanda, giving those interested until December 31, 2019, to register before the exercise is closed.

He encouraged Vihiga residents to register in large numbers with ODM, emphasizing the party's popularity in the region.
