Three Homabay County Officials Arrested in Graft Purge ¶

Former Chief Officer Chris Agong and his wife Mary Wesonga, who works at the County Procurement Office, are among three Homa Bay county officials arrested in a graft purge.
According to reports, the trio was arrested by the DCI at Isaiah Ogwe's Golden Rays Hotel in Kisii, where they were taken to face charges of awarding county tenders to their own companies.
Other officials wanted for corruption in the Homabay County government include Dan Lieta and John Apollo.
Homabay county secretary Isaiah Ogwe has been accused of massive looting, with reports suggesting he is building several three-star hotels, residential and commercial buildings, and luxurious vehicles using the proceeds of the loot.
