Akothee Returns to the Spotlight, Calls Out Gold-Digging Slay Queens

On November 25, 2019, Akothee, the President of Single Mothers, took to her Instagram page to address her critics and announce her return to the spotlight. In a post that has since gone viral, she lashed out at social media users who she claims are sponsored and cannot afford the lifestyles they flaunt online.

According to Akothee, 'my sister, don't allow social media make you commit suicide, abeg. People are sponsored. My friend, some people if left to live that life on their own for just 1 day, you won't see shit. Even Uber and taxi is sponsored. Live your small life, you are doing well for your age.'

She also warned her followers that social media is a scam, and that very few people live the lives they portray online.

Just a day later, Akothee took to her Instagram page again to announce her return to the Luo Festival, a celebration of Luo culture. In a video that showcases her dance moves, she gets down hard, seemingly unfazed by her recent hospital stay.

With the energy and umf! to take on the festival, Akothee has confirmed that she is ready to perform. She also took the opportunity to thank her team, the Fbi Dance Crew Kenya, for their support.
