Music producer Tedd Josiah has spoken candidly about the challenges he faced after the death of his wife Reginah Katar in 2017. The loss was a devastating blow, especially with their three-month-old daughter Jay to care for.
Sharing a heartfelt message, Tedd reflected on the difficulties of navigating life as a single parent, saying, 'Life’s journey isn’t always in a straight line, some twists and turns come.' He emphasized the importance of acknowledging the emotional pain that often lies beneath the surface, 'with everyone thinking “You’re so strong” yet never taking time to see the layers of broken behind the smiles and “strength”.'
Tedd credits his faith in God for helping him cope with the loss, saying, 'If it weren’t for God I’d have crumbled and broken ages ago.' He continues to pray for guidance and support, 'He has mercy on us, brings the right people round us and enables us to walk.'
Recalling the day Reginah passed away, Tedd shared a poignant post from the past, 'AS I SAT IN THE CAR WITH A LITTLE 3-MONTH-OLD BABY ASLEEP IN MY ARMS AT 5:30 AM OUTSIDE A HOSPITAL I THOUGHT TO MYSELF… “SO MY BEST FRIEND IS DEAD, MY LOVE, BUT ISN’T THIS A JOKE? SHE SURELY MUST ME ASLEEP…. WILL I MANAGE THIS ALONE WITH AN INFANT?” MY RESPONSE? “GOD WILL GIVE ME THE ABILITY.”'
