Eden Hazard's Disappointing Champions League Debut ¶
Real Madrid's Eden Hazard made his full debut for the La Liga giants in their Champions League opener against Paris Saint-Germain on September 18, 2019, but failed to justify the record fee paid for his services.
PSG's Angel Di Maria and Thomas Meunier scored two first-half goals, while Meunier added a stoppage-time goal to seal a 3-0 victory for the French side.
French newspaper L'Equipe awarded Hazard a 2/10 rating for his underwhelming performance, which left fans and critics unimpressed.
One fan joked, 'Eden Hazard giving Nathan Redmond a bad name in this game,' while another argued, 'Ansu Fati, 16, had a better performance than Hazard, 27, in this week's UCL matchday.'
Real Madrid's defeat left them sitting bottom of the group, and they will be seeking to make amends in the coming matches for a chance to progress to the next round of the competition.
