On Wednesday, musician Akothee made a rare appearance in parliament, invited by nominated MP David Sankok, but her visit was marred by controversy over her attire.

According to reports, Akothee's short skirt was deemed too revealing by parliament's Speaker, prompting security personnel to bar her from accessing the premises.

However, after a confrontation with parliament orderlies, Akothee was allowed to access the members-only restaurant.

She was later provided with a leso to cover her thighs, which she initially rejected but eventually agreed to wear after minutes of pleading from the orderlies.

Taking to social media after the drama, Akothee expressed her surprise at being told to cover up, stating that she thought she was dressed officially.

She also used the opportunity to invite MPs to the official launch of Akothee Foundation on September 28th, emphasizing the need for their support in her charitable endeavors.
