Jane Mugo ordered to surrender her firearms certificate

On September 18, 2019, Jane Mugo, a private investigator, was arraigned before a magistrate court in Kenya.

Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi presided over the case, which involved charges of threatening to kill two people, contrary to section 223(1) of the Penal Code.

The charges were brought against Jane Mugo by Patrick Mugasia Kefa and Deepa Shah, who claimed that she had threatened them on separate occasions.

Patrick Mugasia alleged that Jane Mugo drew her pistol and pointed it at him on August 15, 2009, while Deepa Shah claimed that she was threatened on February 4, 2019, at Kyuna close in Spring Valley.

Jane Mugo denied the charges and was released on a Ksh. 300,000 cash bail or an alternative Ksh 500,000 bond.

She was also ordered to deposit her firearms certificate with the court.

According to Mahakamani News, Jane Mugo's lawyer claimed that she had not received any court appearance summons from the DCI.
