This archive report was first published on 18 September 2019.

On September 28th, 2019, Akothee was scheduled to meet with nominated MP David Sankok at the parliament's only members' restaurant. However, her entry was blocked by security, citing that her skirt was too short for the 'honorable' space.

According to reports, Akothee was told to wrap her 'nakedness' in a leso, which she did, and her heavy security was kept away. She was later allowed in.

Akothee has been active in socio-economic activities across the country and is planning to launch her foundation officially. She invited members of parliament to join her in the launch, saying, 'I have invited the members of parliament to come join me in the official launch of Akothee foundation on the 28th September. I can’t make a change in Turkana or the lives of people alone without them! I need everyones support thanks alot waheshimiwa as I wait to see and shake your hands.'
