Kenya Ports Authority has rewarded Bandari Football Club with a Sh500,000 cash prize for their impressive win over Tunisian club US Ben Guardane in the first leg of the Caf Confederation Cup.

The team, led by their patron Daniel Manduku, who is also the Managing Director of KPA, handed over the money to the players on Wednesday at the KPA Mbaraki Sports Club in Mombasa.

Bandari FC will be leaving for Tunisia next week to play the return leg of the match, which is scheduled for September 29.

Speaking to the team, Manduku urged the strikers to go for more goals in Tunisia, saying the best way to defend is to attack.

He also expressed his happiness at being associated with Bandari's success and asked the technical team and players to remain focused throughout the season.

Bandari FC has been making waves in the football scene, and their recent win over US Ben Guardane has earned them a spot in the next stage of the championship.
