Published on September 18, 2019, the Kenyan Premier League match between Gor Mahia and Chemelil Sugar has been postponed.
The match was initially scheduled to take place at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu, but Chemelil Sugar changed the venue to the Green Stadium in Kericho at short notice.
Gor Mahia officials complained about the sudden change, citing inconvenience as they had already made travel arrangements and planned logistics for the match.
According to KPL regulations, any changes to the venue or kick-off time must be communicated at least 72 hours in advance. Chemelil Sugar, however, only requested the change on Tuesday, leaving Gor Mahia with little time to adjust.
The KPL has confirmed the postponement and will announce a new date for the match in due course.
