The Kenya Under-20 national team, the Rising Stars, is gearing up for the CECAFA U20 Championships in Uganda, with their final training session taking place on Tuesday at the Gems Cambridge International School.

Coach Stanley Okumbi has expressed confidence in the team, citing their tough group as a challenge that will bring out the best in them.

"We are in a tough group but I think the tougher the group the better the challenge," said coach Okumbi.

Kenya has been pooled in Group B alongside Ethiopia, Zanzibar, Tanzania, and will face stiff competition from the other teams in the tournament.

The top three teams from Group A and B will join the top two from Group C in the quarterfinals, with the winner of the tournament set to be crowned on October 5, 2019.
