On September 18, 2019, the Nairobi High Court ruled in favor of Sarah Wairimu Cohen, allowing her to be present at the postmortem of her late husband, Tob Cohen.

Following the directive, Cohen, who is currently remanded at Langata Women's Prison, will be taken to Chiromo mortuary to witness the exercise.

Justice Stella Mutuku made the ruling on Wednesday morning, citing that Cohen is the only one who can substantively identify the body.

Lawyer Philip Murgor, representing Cohen, had maintained that his client's presence was crucial for the identification process.

Meanwhile, lawyer Cliff Ombeta, representing Cohen's sister Gabrielle, noted that X-ray imaging had already been done and the results would be presented on Wednesday.

The body of Dutch billionaire Tob Cohen was found at his home on September 13, almost two months after he disappeared.

He was a tours and travel magnate who had lived in Kenya since 1987.
