Monica, the widow of late Nairobi West MP Ken Okoth, has been given 14 days to file her own DNA results for the disputed child after she declined those presented in court two weeks ago.
According to her lawyers, the results they have are the genuine ones.
However, the late Okoth's family maintains that they accepted the DNA results that confirmed the child was sired by the deceased.
The dispute revolves around a child born out of wedlock to Nairobi Member of County Assembly Ann Thumbi and the late Okoth.
During Okoth's funeral, the boy and his mother were excluded from participating, with the widow claiming the child was not her husband's son.
Evans Olouch, a nephew to the deceased, revealed that the family knew about the child's existence and that Okoth was in full support of his son.
Olouch stated, 'As a family we knew about Ken's son and anybody in the family who will say otherwise will be telling a big lie. The family knew very well about Ken's son even Monica knew about this child so taking DNA samples was just a waste of time since Ken was in full support of his child.'
