Published on September 17, 2019, Wim Hof, also known as the 'Iceman,' has been a subject of fascination for many years. His incredible feats, such as climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in shorts and holding the world record for the fastest half marathon run barefoot on ice or snow, have left scientists and medical experts puzzled.
While some attribute his abilities to his genetic makeup and positive mindset, Hof believes that anyone can learn to withstand extreme cold temperatures using his Wim Hof Method. This technique involves cold therapy, breathing, and meditation.
A group of YouTubers from Yes Theory decided to put Hof's method to the test. They traveled to Poland for four days to see if they could build up a resistance to the cold. The group underwent various exercises, including cliff jumping into freezing water, breathing and mental exercises, and a 10-minute stint in an ice bath.
However, not everyone in the group was convinced by Hof's claims. Some members were skeptical about the effectiveness of his method. Despite this, they decided to put his techniques to the test by hiking up a snowy mountain in just their shorts.
Watch the video below to see if the group succeeded in their attempt to replicate Hof's incredible feats.
