Kenya's young entrepreneurs are in the spotlight as nominations for the Bizna Young Entrepreneurs Awards (YEA2019) have officially opened.

Launched on [2019-09-17], this year's awards aim to recognize and celebrate outstanding young entrepreneurs between 18 and 35 years old with great business acumen.

The awards, initiated by Bizna Kenya, seek to create a network of young entrepreneurs by providing them with a platform to showcase their business performance, innovation, quality of products and services, and relations with suppliers and customers.

Entrepreneurs can apply for nominations or be endorsed through the awards' e-portal at www.yea.co.ke/nominate. Nominations close on 11th October 2019.

Two winners will be selected in every category, and two overall winners will be crowned in the Young Entrepreneur of the Year category - one male and one female.

Previous winners include Pancras Mwangi of Expedition Maasai Safaris, Michelle Ntalami of Malini Naturals, and others who have excelled in various sectors.

The overall winner will receive Ksh1 million to take their business to the next level, while all winners will receive business support and enterprise development services, including training, coaching, mentorship, and networking.

Bizna Kenya CEO Tonnie Mello urged Kenyans to nominate deserving young entrepreneurs, saying the awards aim to inspire more young people to start businesses and advocate for policies that support start-ups.
