Bandari FC attacker Abadallah Hassan is optimistic about the team's chances in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) this season, despite recent struggles. In an interview, Hassan attributed the team's improved prospects to strategic squad reinforcement during the preseason.

Although some pundits have questioned head coach Bernard Mwalala's decision to keep quiet about bolstering his attack options, Hassan remains confident that there is more competition in the squad than in the 2018/19 season.

Following their 2-0 win over Tunisian side USB Guerdane on Saturday, Hassan noted that the new signings are fitting in well and that there is growing competition for first-team slots. He believes this competition will be an advantage in a season with multiple competitions.

“Some of the new signings are now fitting in well, and you can see the hunger in them to play. Our coach has already told us there will be rotations in the squad because we have many matches to honour. We are ready for all that, but most importantly competition within the squad will only improve us,” said Hassan.

As Bandari prepares to host Zoo Kericho at the Mbaraki Sports Club on Wednesday, Hassan emphasized that their CAF duties will not derail their quest for the domestic title. He believes the team is ready for the upcoming matches, including the KPL clash against Zoo.

Bandari could go top of the KPL table above KCB on goal difference if they beat Zoo on Wednesday. The fixture was moved forward to accommodate Bandari's appearance in the CAF Confederations tie against Guerdane on Saturday.
