Jimmy Gait, a renowned gospel artiste, has launched a petition to improve medical services in Kenya, following a harrowing experience of being misdiagnosed by a Kenyan doctor.

Published on September 17, 2019, the petition aims to address several key issues affecting the healthcare sector in Kenya.

According to Jimmy, one of the main reasons for the petition is to ensure that patients have the right to ask questions about their treatment. He believes that every person has the right to know why they are being given a particular type of medication, among other things.

Jimmy also advocates for the right of patients to access their medical reports. He has personally experienced the importance of having access to medical files, as he has all the medical files used during his treatment in India.

Another key issue Jimmy is fighting for is the standardization of medical care across all medical facilities in Kenya. He believes that standardization will prevent patients from being charged exorbitant fees based on the doctor's discretion.

Furthermore, Jimmy is calling for the establishment of medical boards to root out quacks and ensure that patients are protected from negligence. He believes that when quacks and negligent doctors are not held accountable, they continue to practice without any consequences.

Finally, Jimmy is advocating for a ban on public doctors running private clinics. He believes that this will prevent conflicts of interest and ensure that patients receive the best possible care.

Jimmy Gait's petition is a bold move to improve the healthcare sector in Kenya, and his plea to President Uhuru is a call to action for the government to take concrete steps to address these issues.
