Teenage Acne: Dr. Pimple Popper's Help for a Troubled Teen

Dr. Sandra Lee, aka Dr. Pimple Popper, recently helped a teenage patient with a cluster of blackheads on his nose. The patient, who appeared to be around 15 years old, had been dealing with acne for some time.

According to Dr. Lee, acne in teenagers is often caused by changes in androgen levels at puberty. These hormonal changes can cause the skin's oil glands to become larger and secrete more fluid, leading to clogged pores and dermatological debris.

Dr. Lee used a comedone extractor to remove the blackheads from the patient's nose, explaining that patients should not pinch pimples themselves but rather start with a face wash containing salicylic acid.

When asked if he squeezes his pimples, the patient replied, 'My mom has done it many times before. She has little tools and whatnot.' He added, 'It's a lot less painful than my mom.'

While some viewers were disappointed by the lack of 'gargantuan cysts' and 'exploding sacks of pus,' Dr. Lee's help was likely a welcome relief for the patient.
