On September 15, 2019, a woman named Halima publicly accused Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip of impregnating her after meeting on Facebook.

Halima claimed she had been seduced, impregnated, and dumped by the Senator, sparking a heated debate.

However, Saumu Mbuvi, Anwar's girlfriend, chose to defend him instead of criticizing Halima.

Speaking out on social media, Saumu fired shots at Halima, accusing her of having 'gold-digging tendencies.'

She questioned Halima's decision to move in with Anwar after less than a month of meeting him on Facebook.

According to Saumu, no man can save a woman from her own financial woes, and it's a 'lazy mentality' to rely on someone else for financial breakthrough.

Despite the allegations against Anwar, the Senator denied them, claiming Halima was trying to force herself on him.
