Published on September 16, 2019, Arsenal defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos has taken to social media to apologize to the club's fans for his costly defensive error against Watford.
The 31-year-old Greek international made a monumental mistake in the second half of the Premier League clash, which saw the Gunners surrender a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at Vicarage Road.
According to Sokratis, he feels he is to blame for the result, and he has vowed to work hard to achieve his goals.
On Twitter, Sokratis wrote, 'I will work hard to achieve my goals and I will do everything to make it right.'
He also acknowledged that his error had given Watford a lifeline in the second half, which ultimately led to the draw.
With this weekend's woes behind them, Arsenal will now be looking to put their focus on their upcoming Europa League match against Eintracht on Thursday, September 19.
