On Sunday night, Citizen TV's viewers were left stunned when a feature on the Mau Forest, presented by seasoned reporter Enock Sikolia, suddenly went off air without explanation.
The feature, dubbed 'Inside Mau Forest,' started well, with Sikolia attempting to shed light on the genesis of the Mau issue. However, at the 40th second mark of narration, the screen suddenly went blank, and an advertisement played in the background for over 30 seconds.
When the news bulletin resumed, there was no mention of what had happened, leaving many questions unanswered. It remains unclear whether the abrupt cut-off was due to a technical glitch or if the feature was intentionally stopped midstream.
Interestingly, a different version of the news feature has since been uploaded to Citizen TV's YouTube channel, sparking further speculation about the events that transpired.
As one Twitter user, Kipchumba Murkomen, pointed out, 'Is it a case of the truth being too painful to handle? Media is beginning to get to the bottom of the trust land issue & they need to be supported not undermined.'
