On Sunday, Arsenal were cruising against Watford in the Premier League, leading 2-0 after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's two goals.

However, a lapse in concentration by Sokratis allowed Watford to mount a comeback, with Gerard Deulofeu intercepting a pass from the Greek defender and finding Tom Cleverly, who scored to halve the deficit.

Watford continued to push forward and won a penalty ten minutes before the end, which Roberto Pereyra converted, securing a draw for the Hornets.

Sokratis took to Twitter to apologize for his mistake, saying, "Today's result is not good for us. I feel responsible for this result, so I would like to apologise to all of you."

He added, "I don't like to hide, and I will keep working hard in order to achieve our goals."

Mesut Ozil, who made his first start for Arsenal this weekend, also expressed his disappointment with the result, tweeting, "Two points dropped. Annoying second half, in the end we have to settle for a disappointing draw."

He thanked the fans for their support at Vicarage Road, saying, "Let's try to bounce back soon. Thanks for your support at Vicarage Road."
