On April 1, 2019, a woman met Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip through Facebook, which led to a brief relationship.

According to the woman, Loitiptip initially reached out to her through Messenger, claiming to have a business idea he wanted to share. However, their communication quickly turned romantic, and they met in Nairobi two days later.

The woman claimed they stayed at Loitiptip's house in Nairobi for two days before he said he needed to attend a security meeting in Kisumu. However, after their meeting, Loitiptip allegedly stopped communicating with her.

Three weeks later, the woman discovered she was pregnant. She accused Loitiptip of using and dumping her, and claimed he had threatened her with dire consequences if she 'spoiled his image.'

Loitiptip denied the allegations, stating that the woman was older than him and their relationship could not work. He also claimed that he is now in another relationship with his fiancé and accused the woman of insulting his fiancé on social media.

Loitiptip denied sending goons to trail the woman, stating that he has many enemies and cannot be responsible for every person who wrongs him.

The woman has reported the matter to the police and has recorded statements at the Dog Section and Nyali police station. The DCI is investigating the matter.
