On Monday, detectives from the Special Crime Prevention Unit (SCPU) arrested two suspects connected to the 75 million shillings ATM heist in Nairobi West, recovering 2,389,000 shillings.

The suspects, John Kamau Mulei and his 60-year-old grandmother, Mary Kyalo, were arrested in Machakos County, with the grandmother's house being the location where the recovered money was found.

John Kamau Mulei is the brother of Bernard Mwendwa, a G4S officer who was arrested last week on Thursday.

According to the DCI, the arrest of John Kamau Mulei led detectives to his grandmother's house, where the recovered money was found.

On Wednesday, six suspects, including three police officers, were charged with two counts of robbery with violence in connection with the 75 million shillings stolen from the Standard Chartered Bank.

The suspects, who include Chris Machogu, Duncan Kaveshi Luvuga, Boniface Mutua, Vincent Owuor, Alex Mutuku, and Francis Muriuki, were released on a bond of 1 million shillings each with two sureties of a similar amount after denying the charges.
