On September 13, 2019, a Nairobi businessman, Joshua Ogach, 31, was arrested by CID officers in connection with the murder of policewoman Robina Moraa in Eldoret.
Her body was found with knife stab wounds in her rental house, lying in a pool of blood.
According to Uasin Gishu County Police Commander Johnstonne Ipara, Ogach was arrested at a hospital in Nakuru where he had gone to seek treatment after a failed suicide attempt.
"Joshua Ogach is the prime suspect in the gruesome murder of the police officer. We are still investigating the matter and will arrest anyone else who may have been involved. The suspect is in custody helping us with investigations," Ipara said.
Ogach will be charged with murder and attempted suicide.
He had visited Robina in her house twice in the past month, according to the estate's caretaker, Stanley Some.
Robina had lived in the rented house for two months before her gruesome murder.
