September 16, 2019, marked a year since Kamene Goro, a 27-year-old Kiss FM presenter, went public about her body count during a 'Whisky Challenge' with her co-host Andrew Kibe and rapper Prezzo.
At the time, Kamene disclosed that her 'body count' stood at 27, and she lost her virginity at the age of 19. The revelation sparked a huge backlash, with many corporates dropping her and her employer, NRG radio, putting her on an ice block.
Speaking to True Love magazine's September edition, Kamene reflected on the experience, stating, 'It was one of the worst periods of my life. Not that I regret what I said, but the backlash was huge.'
She also expressed her opinion that the situation would have been different if it had involved a man, saying, 'Every condom company would have run to him for endorsements. As a woman, they expect you to lie when it comes to sexual partners.'
