On Sunday, Esperance of Tunisia launched their ambitious bid to become the first club to win the CAF Champions League three consecutive times, securing a 1-1 draw away to Elect-Sport of Chad.

Fedi Ben Choug put the visiting team ahead on 66 minutes, only for Haroun Bokhit to level the score before the end of the match.

However, the home team's hopes of taking all three points were dashed when Leger Djimrangar missed a crucial penalty.
