NSE Admits NIC Bank to Derivatives Market

On September 16, 2019, the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) welcomed NIC Bank as a non-executive member of its derivatives market, known as NEXT.

According to the NSE, NIC Bank's admission will enable the bank to provide custodial services to both domestic and foreign investors interested in participating in the NSE Derivatives market.

Additionally, NIC Bank will enhance the settlement of derivatives market for its custodial clients.

As the second derivatives market in Africa, NEXT offers investors a platform for allocating capital, diversifying their portfolios, and managing risk.
