On Sunday, September 15, 2019, Watford displayed a scintillating performance at the Vicarage Road, coming back from two goals down to force Arsenal to a 2-2 draw in a tough Premier League encounter.

Arsenal's defensive errors allowed the hosts to come back and get a point, with the draw seeing the Gunners miss the chance to move to third position on the Premier League table.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang put the Gunners in front to open the scoring in the 21st minute, before finishing off a fine team move to grab his second just after the half-hour mark.

However, Watford had the chance to reduce the scoreline before halftime, but Tom Cleverley was unable to beat Bernd Leno with a shot from Will Hughes' pass.

Cleverley made amends in the second half, pulling one back for Watford in the 53rd minute following Sokratis Papasthaopoulos' defensive blunder.

Watford kept pressing high, with their efforts paying off in the 81st minute, restoring parity from the penalty spot via Pereyra, who was brought down in the dangerous area by David Luiz.

Abdoulaye Doucoure had a glorious chance to seal the win for Watford in stoppage time, but he fluffed the opportunity, striking straight at Leno from six yards out.
